Erik Nordberg joined UT Martin in 2020 as dean of the Paul Meek Library. He has been employed in library, archival, and public humanities work for more than 30 years in Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Nordberg's scholarly work examines management, leadership, and fund development in academic libraries and archives. He currently serves as co-chair of the Library Leaders and Managers Interest Group and as treasurer of the Library History Round Table.
He earned graduate library and archival degrees at Wayne State University in 1992 and a PhD in industrial heritage and archeology in 2017 from Michigan Technological University.
