Speaker Biography
Julie Silver George has been a faculty member with EKU Libraries for 25 years and, for the last 6 years, has had the privilege of serving as Dean of Libraries. Ms. George is passionate about designing learning spaces, library resources, and services that meet the needs of diverse user groups. She received her B.A. in History from Berea College (KY) and her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina.
She is the proud parent of one current EKU student and one recent EKU alum. Both her father and husband earned their graduate degrees at EKU. She is a lifelong Girl Scout and also serves the Commonwealth of KY as an election official.
