Speaker Biography
Mary Lowery serves as Executive Director of the Friends of Fondren Library at Rice University, where she leads strategic fundraising, membership engagement, and donor stewardship in partnership with library leadership and a volunteer board. Her work bridges advancement and user experience, emphasizing relationship-based philanthropy and data-informed strategy.
With experience in nonprofit administration, academic advancement, and communications, she is especially interested in the ethical use of artificial intelligence in donor engagement and the evolving role of libraries in the digital era. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Managerial Studies from Rice University and an M.S. in Nonprofit Administration from LSU Shreveport.
